Oliver Hazard Day takes place on the main drag of Waterville’s historic Third Street, just off of old route 24. It is very easy to find if you route yourself to “waterville Ohio” on google maps.
If you are still having trouble finding it, punch in “oliver hazard day” on google maps.
if you are still having trouble finding it, type ‘mad anthony’s tavern’ in waterville, into your gps. This should do the trick.
Airports
There is an airport in toledo, ohio (15 minutes away), however the most frequented airport is detroit international airport. Waterville is an hour drive from the airport.
Parking
There is no specified parking lot for this event. As it is a downtown Waterville street festival, Street parking is available all around town! ARRIVE EARLY TO ENSURE A SPOT!
Bicycle Parking
There are u-rack bike racks all over downtown waterville. Feel free to lock your bike to any of these. Bicycle theft is not typically an issue if the bicycle is properly locked.
Handicap Access
This festival is wheelchair friendly. There is no alternative gate for handicap access, entry gate is on the Farnsworth and thrid street. Please come right to the front of the line, and our volunteers will give you priority.
QUESTIONS
Can I bring my own chair or blanket?
Yes! We encourage the option to bring your own LAWN CHAIR + BLANKET TO STAY COMFORTABLE. Seating not provided
Can I bring a water bottle into the festival?
Yes! we encourage refilling your water bottle at the clock tower drinking fountains near the restrooms.
Is this event kid friendly?
WE TRY NOT TO USE THE TERM “KID FRIENDLY” AS PARENTING STYLES DIFFER ACROSS THE BOARD. HOWEVER, WE CAN SAY THAT MANY PARENTS BRING THEIR CHILDREN AND THEY SEEM TO HAVE A GREAT TIME! Note: There will be alcohol served at this festival, however this is an all ages event. All music will be family friendly. If you are comfortable bringing your kids to an event under these circumstances, we give you the responsibility to make the call. WE RECOMMEND BRINGING A WAGON + CHAIRS TO KEEP THE KIDS COMFORTABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
Will there be food at the festival?
Yes. WE HAVE A VARIETY OF GREAT LOCAL FOOD TRUCKS to help us fuel our festival goers!
Is there camping on-site?
No, unfortunately there is no camping in downtown waterville. PLEASE CHECKOUT TOLEDO METROPARKS FOR LOCAL CAMPING OPTIONS AS WELL AS WWW.HIPCAMP.COM. FOR HOTELS, we recommend Hilton Garden Inn perrysburg (Directly up the road from the event) as your best hotel option, IN ADDITION TO STAYBRIDGE SUITES AT FALLEN TIMBERS.
What else should I do while I’m in town?
Some of our favorite things: visit one of the many Toledo Metroparks (FREE), go to a Toledo Mudhens game, stop by the Toledo Art Museum (FREE), walk along the maumee river (FREE), LOCAL RESTUARANTS. CHECK OUT https://www.visittoledo.org/ FOR MORE RESOURCES!
